Team Hovie SUP’s East Coast rising star Amanda Wilson takes 2^nd place for the 2^nd race in a row on her new Hovie SUP Kernan designed 12’6” Comet!

The 11^th annual Florida State Championship was held on April 23^rd at Shepard Park, Cocoa Beach

Competitors and race organizers were greeted on race day with 15 to 20 mph ESE winds and 4-6 ft swell which promised to make a very interesting race. After picking their way through the shore break, 73 men and women made a water start straight into the wind. The 7 mile course was divided into a 2.8 mile upwind leg, followed by a 3.5 mile downwind leg back to the Cocoa Beach Pier with a .7 mile upwind sprint to the finish line.

Fazekas Krisztina makes USA National Team

Fazekas Krisztina makes USA National Team - Krisztina, one of the fastest wonem paddlers in the world, no matter what craft she paddles, has made the USA National Team. She will be competing in world cup competitions in Europe next month. She is also our part time Hovie SUP test pilot paddler and racer... She gives us very percise assessment on out new race board designs. We are so excited for her and her achievements. She raced this last weekend at the US National Team trails in Chula Vista, at the Olympic Training Center and qualified for the US team. At this time we need help finding founding and sponsors with the travel expenses to Europe and the registration fees for the races. Most of the team and I do not have any founding and athletes have to pay all of the expenses in order to represent their country.
